It was my pleasure being his mail lady for 7 years. He was always friendly. I am shocked that he passed away. He was always smiling. I will miss not seeing him.

Maria and Hinton, Our thoughts and prayers are certainly with you both in this time of loss. I don't believe there was ever a time that I was around Allen that he didn't have a smile on his face, kind word for me or my family, and always a good joke to tell. Unfortunately, we won't be able to join you for the services but we will certainly keep you in our prayers. Lean on each other and share the good stories. Love you both - Lee
- Lee and Mandy Lane and family, Lexington, SC

My condolences to the Davis Family. Allen, and I were friends on what was then West 65th Street many years ago. He assisted me in delivering my Evening Press route during the summer periods when we were in our youth. It was more fun than work. Every day after delivering the press route we would stop at the corner drug store at Henry and Bull Streets and reward ourselves with a Vanilla coke. Those were the days of our twilight years and a lot of good memories that will always follow me. Rest in Peace Allen!
